Container Gardening

Container gardens and house plants can be a beautiful addition to your home and even apartment homes can be brought to life with a few potted plants. Supply all your potted plants nutrition while you water, eliminate repotting for soil nutrients depletion, irrigate while on vacation, and prevent other common container garden problems with our line of products dedicated to the health and beauty of your indoor and patio plants.

Container gardening is fun, easy and rewarding when you use Algoplus fertilizers and supplies for your urban gardens and small space garden solutions.

potted plants

Green Mountain Boxwood keeps it color all year, Golden Creeping Jenny is perfect for the edge of the pot, Emerald Arborvitae works where you need some height, and Begenia has bold leaves that shine in containers.

lettuce

Varieties include Black Seeded Thompson and red or green oak leaf types. Loose leaf lettuces are better suited to pots than head lettuce.

The most important resource when growing lettuce is water. Plants grown in the garden need at least an inch per week; lettuce in pots need a bit more.

cucumbers

Cucumbers do not do well with aromatic herbs or potatoes.

peppers

Keep peppers distanced far from apricot trees, beans, members of the brassica family (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli or Brussels sprouts), and kale.

These tips are general recommendations for USDA Hardiness Zones 4-10.

Be sure to check North America's USDA plant hardiness zones map for your specific zone when planning your gardening and selecting plants.
